Aiming to enhance their understanding of the specific tasks, organisation, audit regulations, and procedures of local auditing in Germany, experts from the Republic of Kazakhstan’s public regional courts of auditors attended a seminar organised by the International Academy for Management and Technology (INTAMT).
From 18 to 22 September, INTAMT facilitated an intensive experience exchange and provided a comprehensive introduction to topics related to municipal budget and financial control. Participants also gained insights into the roles of national and state audit offices, as well as inter-municipal oversight.
During their stay in Germany, the Kazakh professionals engaged in various expert meetings, including dialogues with the audit offices of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss district, the Gütersloh district, and the Westfalen-Lippe Regional Association.
A notable highlight of the event was an information session conducted by the NRW state working group at the Institute of Auditors. Representatives from the Institute, which provides nationwide seminars and training sessions for auditors, shared invaluable expertise. This allowed attendees to exchange ideas with seasoned professionals and benefit from their extensive experience.
Feedback from the Kazakh visitors was overwhelmingly positive. They not only gained insights into German financial control but also highlighted Kazakhstan’s achievements in digitalizing administrative processes, particularly in the realm of auditing. Now back in their homeland, they are keen to implement their newly acquired knowledge to further improve their audit systems.
