In the age of digitalization, the theme Smart City and the technological solutions behind this notion are considered as vital for the survival of fast-growing cities. Smart City does not only mean a change towards a digitally networked city, but also a new concept for living, working and living in the big cities. The creation of an integrated system of urban infrastructure by means of various technological solutions is a complex administrative task that requires appropriate knowledge and interaction between the various actors – from the municipal authorities and business community to inhabitants as end users of smart services. The INTAMT Academy is organising a study trip on “Smart City – New Concept of Territorial Management”, which will take place in Germany and the Netherlands in the beginning of September 2019.

We are preparing an exciting programme for seminar participants with visits to the relevant municipal authorities responsible for planning the cities of the future, as well as to the construction and IT companies that have to implement smart solutions.

The seminar will focus on key thematic blocks such as Smart Economy (promoting innovative entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship), Smart Living (ensuring the quality of life of all inhabitants), Smart Environment (sustainable resource management), Smart Mobility (managing digital traffic management systems and automatically guided traffic flows) and Smart City Services (urban offers of intelligent services).
