From September 23rd until September 28th, 2018, the INTAMT Academy organized once again a seminar series on comprehensive rehabilitation services for people with disabilities. The programme of the event included three seminars:
– System of comprehensive rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in Germany: its organization and operation.
– Organization of comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients with ICP (infantile cerebral palsy).
– Medical rehabilitation and social integration of people with disabilities: European experience.
According to the area of expertise of each participant, meetings and talks were organized with leading German and European experts addressing the following issues in detail : Workflow organizations and innovative technologies in the creation of a barrier free environment addressing the needs of people with disabilities; medical rehabilitation; promising approaches to inclusive education of children with disabilities; vocational education and employment for people with disabilities as well as fostering social participation and adaptation to problems in daily living.
Furthermore, the seminar participants visited the world’s biggest trade fair of goods and services for disabled people, REHACARE INTERNATIONAL, which is held annually in Düsseldorf.
