INTAMT at the Inclusion Days 2021 in Berlin
On 4 May 2021, Yuri Nikitin, Managing Director of the INTAMT Academy, took part in the panel under the frame of the two-day event „Inclusion Days 2021”, which was organized by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and was broadcast live. In the Berlin studio the panel discussion „Labor Market Integration of People with Disabilities in Europe“ was also joined by Robin Baltes, Social Attaché, Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union, Jürgen Dusel, Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Persons with Disabilities, and Julia Moser, board member of an Austrian social enterprise myAbility Social Enterprise GmbH.
During the panel, the guests discussed how to improve employment opportunities of persons with disabilities in the European labor market. Among other things, Yuri Nikitin presented the cooperation projects which the Intamt Academy has successfully accomplished and those that are currently being implemented:
– international project DISEMEX “Disability Employment Expert”, which was co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union
– international project DISENEX “Disability Entrepreneurship Expert” on empowerment of people with disabilities through engagement into social entrepreneurship. The project is also co-funded by Erasmus+ program;
– international project i-SME – “Inclusive Small and Medium Enterprises in Europe.” The project is co-funded by the European Commission. Project partners from eight EU countries are committed to the common goal, not only encouraging small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to become more open to hire people with disabilities (PWD), but also developing existing support programs and infrastructure for successful labor market integration of PWD
