INTAMT is dedicated to improving the qualifications of specialists from Kazakhstan in the field of medicine, and recently, 32 specialists completed internships at leading clinics in Germany in the fields of radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation medicine.
The trainees included not only doctors but also physicists who studied the cyclotron at the University Hospital in Freiburg for four weeks. Additionally, nuclear medicine physicians, radioformaticians, and nurses from the Department of Radioiodine Therapy underwent internships at Vivantes. The head of the Department of Radiation Safety at NNOZ also studied the clinic’s processes, documentation, and legal regulations.
During their 4-week training, physicians and laboratory assistants received training on PET MRI at the University Clinic Essen and Charite, which will be available to NSCC patients in 2023. Radiologists and ultrasound specialists in oncology had the opportunity to visit five clinics in North Rhine-Westphalia, including the University Hospital Düsseldorf, the urology clinic at the Bergmannsheil Hospital Gelsenkirchen, two large multidisciplinary hospitals in Mönchengladbach near Düsseldorf, and the KEM Evangelical Clinic in Essen.
Moreover, six nuclear medicine and radiotherapy colleagues received training at major hospitals and diagnostic centers in Munich, and at the University Hospital Erlangen, they received training in brachytherapy, which is the largest brachytherapy center in Germany.
INTAMT is proud to have contributed to the development of medicine in the Republic of Kazakhstan and will continue its work in this area.
