Integrated medical and vocational rehabilitation of people with disabilities
Since 2006, INTAMT Academy has been organising annual activities (study tours, seminars and international conferences) for the exchange of experiences in the field of integrated rehabilitation of people with disabilities. The activities cover the following topics:
- Organisation of the system of integrated medical and vocational rehabilitation of people with disabilities.
- Innovative technologies and work processes in building a barrier-free environment taking into account the needs of people with disabilities
- Innovative approaches in inclusive education and training of children and youth with disabilities
- Vocational training and job placement of persons with disabilities
- Public-private partnership in the social sector, development of social entrepreneurship
- Innovations in the field of medical rehabilitation of persons with disabilities
- Modern technical rehabilitation aids or assistive devices and system of aids supply
- Organisation and sources of funding in long-term care
- Self-help organisations of people with disabilities
In the course of the events, the participants are offered informative lectures by European experts. They will also visit public and local social administration offices, educational and health institutions, medical supply stores and innovative companies producing medical equipment and aids, as well as self-help organisations. They can also visit REHACARE INTERNATIONAL, the world’s largest trade fair for rehabilitation and care for people with disabilities and care needs, which is held annually in Düsseldorf.
Within the framework of the project, more than 1,000 people have participated in our seminars and study trips as well as in four international conferences.
