Together with Kamada Conference, the International Academy of Management and Technology (INTAMT) organised a series of training courses for heads of construction companies and municipal administrative authorities for construction in Kazakhstan from 11 to 18 April 2015. The focus of the training lay on experiences with energy-efficient building construction and energy-efficient building refurbishment as well as the latest technologies in road construction and their use in Germany. The programme included visits to various construction sites such as tunnels, bridges, roads and motorways. A training centre of the construction industry was also visited, as well as some construction companies: BOMAG, Heidelberger Beton, Schwing GmbH, Deutsche Asphalt GmbH – all specialists in the manufacture of machinery, equipment and materials for road construction. During the presentation by Christoph Staufenbiel, Ministerial Councillor in the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Construction, the guests from Kazakhstan were able to learn about the state’s construction policy. At the Federal Ministry of Road Construction, the Kazakh industry’s representatives took the opportunity to learn about the construction management of road projects in Germany in depth. During the visit of the supplier for building materials Knauf at the site of the subsidiary Knauf Aquapanel in Dortmund, the guests gained interesting insights into the organisation of a market leader in the industry. Chief engineer Ingo Lenhardt provided information about the latest products and technologies.
