On 20th of September the four-day international DISEMEX+East event, where the invited representatives Representatives of the associations, social institutions and non-profit organizations of the Eastern Partnership countries of the EU (Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) and Russia as well as the members of the European „DISEMEX-Disability Employment Expert“ project consortium (Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey and United Kingdom) exchanged best practices in professional inclusion, came to an end.
On the last day of the event, the guests in two groups visited inclusion agencies, vocational education training centres for people with disabilities and a company, which won an inclusion award. Subsequently, meetings with important disability employment services and relevant stakeholders were held at the REHACARE trade fair in Düsseldorf, where the guests were acquainted with innovative solutions and know-how in the field of inclusive employment.
The large-scale event was concluded with awarding certificates of conference and seminar participation. Today, the guests fly back to their home countries not only with new insights, knowledge and useful impulses for the conceptual deepening of the two ongoing projects, but also with new friends and partners of DISEMEX and DISEMEX+East.
